Official Tournament Rules:

1) Each player shall contribute $1 per game played
2) The tournament shall run through 12/31/2004, unless a player concedes prior to that date.
3) The winner at the end of the year shall retain 20% off the total jackpot
4) The remaining 80% shall be used towards airfair/hotel for a trip for both contestants.
5) If a player is doubled in any game, he shall contribute an additional $1 to the envelope.

Game Rules:

1) Each player shall roll 1 die to begin the game. Whoever receives the higher number shall play the combination of both dice as the first move.
2) Dice must be flat on the backgammon board. Dice which land on game pieces or off the board shall not count. This includes the raised area around the board as well as the center island. Both dice shall be rolled again.
3) A double game shall count as 2 wins.
